What is the advantage of lace-up over hook and loop for training?
Laces let you adjust tension across the whole length of the wrist, not just at one strap point. The result is a tighter, more uniform fit that many experienced boxers prefer for long training sessions. The trade-off is you need someone to tie them for you.
Are these gloves suitable for sparring?
These are built as a training glove for bag and pad work. They can be used for light sparring at 16oz, but a dedicated sparring glove is the better choice if sparring is your main use. Check with your coach before sparring in any glove.
What is the difference between the Legend and the Legend Lace Up?
The construction, leather and padding are the same. The only difference is the closure: the standard Legend uses hook-and-loop, this version uses laces for a more customised fit.
