What is the difference between the RS11V and the RS80V?
The RS11V is Rival's best-selling sparring glove and sits above the RS80V in the range. The key differences are the extra-thick 50mm foam (more padding volume than the RS80V) and the V-Strap Wrist Lock 2 closure. Both gloves use the same angled wrist strap principle, but the RS11V is built for boxers who spar regularly and want more protection.
Should I choose 16oz or 18oz for sparring?
For most boxers up to 90kg, 16oz is the standard sparring weight. If you are 90kg and above, or your gym requires extra protection for heavier sparring partners, go 18oz. Always check with your coach, as some gyms set their own minimum glove weights.
