Product questions
What does IBA licensed mean for amateur boxing in the UK?
IBA licensed means the glove is built to the specification used at World Boxing and England Boxing sanctioned amateur events. In the UK, gloves are provided ringside by the organiser — boxers do not bring their own. Owning a glove built to that standard gives you the most accurate training preparation for what will be used on show day.
What is the difference between 10oz and 12oz?
In amateur boxing, glove weight is set by the boxer's weight category — lighter classes typically use 10oz and heavier classes use 12oz. For training, your coach will advise which weight suits your current level and body weight.
Why are competition gloves available in red and blue only?
Red and blue are the standard corner colours required by World Boxing and England Boxing for all sanctioned amateur bouts. The colours allow officials, judges, and coaches to identify each boxer clearly throughout the contest.
