Officially approved by the British Boxing Board of Control for professional bouts in the UK. These are the fight gloves used at licensed professional shows.
Premium Leather Construction:
Full leather build holds its shape through repeated rounds and stands up to the demands of elite training.
Injection-Moulded Foam and Horsehair Padding:
The knuckle area combines a one-piece injection-moulded foam pad with a horsehair layer — not all-foam synthetic padding. The horsehair gives the compact, defined feel that power punchers prefer in a fight glove.
Professional Fight Weights:
Available in 8oz and 10oz — the two regulated contest weights used in professional boxing. Weight is determined by the boxer's weight class and the sanctioning body's rules for the bout.
Hook and Loop Closure:
Wide Velcro strap allows quick adjustment between rounds and a secure wrist fit when you glove up alone.
Range of Colourways:
Available in seven finishes including classic black and white plus metallic options for squad and club identity.
Product questions
Are these gloves BBBofC approved for professional bouts?
Yes. The Adistar 3.0 carries the official BBBofC approval stamp, meaning it meets the specification required for licensed professional bouts in the UK. Gloves are provided ringside by the promoter — professional boxers do not bring their own gloves to a fight. Owning the Adistar 3.0 means training in the same glove used at licensed professional shows.
What weight do I need — 8oz or 10oz?
Professional boxing uses 8oz for lighter weight classes and 10oz for heavier divisions. The specific weight required for a bout is set by the sanctioning body and agreed between both camps. Your trainer or promoter will confirm which weight applies to your contest.
Can I use these gloves for training or bag work?
These are professional fight gloves and are not recommended for training or bag workouts. The one-piece injection mould and fight-spec construction are optimised for bout performance, not repeated bag rounds. For training, Adidas produces dedicated training gloves in the Speed Tilt and Tilt ranges.
